Milton de Peyrac-Peyran is a baron from Toussaint and a knight of Anna Henrietta's inner circle. He is an old acquaintance of Geralt. Together with Palmerin de Launfal, he brings Geralt to Toussaint in the first Blood and Wine main quest, Envoys, Wineboys.
Lore
Milton is a good-humored nobleman who loves a well-stocked banquet table. Even so, he never shirks a fight against armed bandits or any other enemy of the duchy. Geralt met him years ago, in very strange circumstances.
Milton makes good company. Whether he is also a good man is less certain. Geralt later says that some incidents from Milton's past weighed on his conscience. What those burdens were remains unknown.
Story
The duchess sends Milton and Palmerin to Velen as her envoys. Geralt finds a notice they posted and meets the two knights in the village of Holloway. The knights have decided to wage war on some local bandits first. Geralt can help them fight the bandits or talk them out of it. Either way, the three then ride for Toussaint.
On the road, they come upon a knight fighting the giant Golyat beside a windmill, and they help bring the giant down. The young knight tells them that the Beast has struck again. Milton leads Geralt to the riverbank where the latest body was found. With Milton's help, Geralt works out who the victim was.
Geralt and the duchess then pool what they know about the Beast. They conclude that Milton is likely to be its next target. At that moment, Milton is playing the hare in a game of Hunt the Hare in the palace gardens. He wears a rabbit costume and hides in the gardens until someone finds him. Geralt and Anna Henrietta solve the clues and find that he is hiding in a greenhouse.
They arrive too late. Milton lies dead among the plants, with his killer standing over the body. The killer flees, and Geralt gives chase in the main quest Blood Run. Milton is the Beast's fourth victim.
Relationships
Palmerin de Launfal is his fellow knight and companion on the journey from Velen. Anna Henrietta trusts him enough to make him her envoy.
