Rose on a Red Field is a Hearts of Stone secondary quest. It starts during Evil's Soft First Touches, as Geralt leaves the Garin estate. A cheeky young woman named Adela asks him to find whoever killed her friend Kluivert. The trail leads to knights of the disbanded Order of the Flaming Rose, who now brew narcotics instead of guarding the weak.

Rose on a Red Field map location:
- Talk to Adela after leaving the manor during Evil's Soft First Touches.
- Go to Bowdon and kill the ghouls in the village.
- Use Witcher Senses to investigate Bowdon for clues about Kluivert's murder.
- Find where the strong odour comes from and search the hut.
- Follow the footprints of the man who fled out of the window to Kluivert's body.
- Look by the fences for signs of the men who shot the bolt.
- Follow the shooter's tracks, then the horses' tracks.
- Defeat the knights at their camp.
- Explore the camp and read the Orders to Attack Bowdon on the wagon.
- Go to the fallen knights' lab northwest of Brunwich.
- Defeat the guards at the entrance.
- Defeat the fallen knights inside and their leader, Ulrich.
- Return to Adela to collect the reward.
