The Delamain No. 21 is a self-driving Delamain taxi that the AI Delamain gives V at the end of his side job chain. It is a Villefort Cortes rebuilt with a reinforced body and bulletproof glass. The car comes with a talking AI, and its personality depends on how V settles Delamain's crisis. Players value it as a story keepsake and as a tough, smooth sedan. V gets the Delamain No. 21 after Don't Lose Your Mind, the last of Delamain's side jobs, which follows Tune Up and the Epistrophy jobs.

Lore
Delamain is the AI that runs Night City's Delamain taxi company. His cabs are standard Villefort Cortes cars fitted with an AI. The Database says most AIs are little more than chatbots, but Delamain has a well-defined personality. It adds that he can slip through rush-hour traffic with ease, and that he is not self-aware, at least according to his technical specs.
In Don't Lose Your Mind, Delamain's cabs break down across the city and block traffic. V goes into Delamain HQ and finds that his core has split into many rival personalities. V can reset the core, destroy it to free the other AIs, or merge them all into one. Each path ends with a cab for V. A reset Delamain chats with V on later drives. Destroying the core leaves a gentler AI called Excelsior. Merging them leaves Delamain's son, Delamain Junior.
Notes
- The reset Delamain holds full conversations with V while driving, while Excelsior and Junior only banter.
- The cab hides a small missile turret in the trunk, which Delamain uses in The Heist but V cannot fire.
