The Chevillon Thrax 388 Jefferson is the armoured limousine of Night City's middle managers. It is elegant, it commands respect and, above all, it is safe. Its armour and bulletproof glass protect the people inside, but its weight makes it slow off the line. Players buy it for its corporate style and for a car that shrugs off trouble. It is also the car Dexter DeShawn rides in. The Thrax is an early Autofixer limousine that V can buy at low Street Cred.

The Thrax drives the rear wheels with a strong engine. Its heavy armour makes it slow to accelerate. The armour and bulletproof glass make it a safe seat in a firefight.

Lore
The Database calls the Thrax the car of choice for the mid-ranking managerial class. It is covered top to bottom in armour that lets it drive through mine blasts, and its bulletproof windows stop high-calibre rounds. The downside is its weight. Despite a mighty engine that can reach dizzying speeds, the Thrax accelerates slowly. The text says it is better to arrive late than never, and in one piece.
The car's own description calls it the heaviest car allowed on the streets and blames it for a quarter of all pedestrian collisions.
Before the Autofixer, the fixer Padre sold the Thrax to V. His message quoted scripture and asked whether V was worthy of such a majestic car.
Notes
- Dexter DeShawn's own Jefferson is the only one whose rear suicide doors open the right way, because V rides in the back during The Ride.
