The Archer Quartz "Specter" is a custom Quartz with machine guns mounted at the front. It turns Archer's classic sports coupe into a fighting car. Players who want an armed car without grinding through vehicle contracts can buy it with Street Cred alone. It mixes the familiar Quartz shape with real firepower. The Quartz "Specter" is a mid to late game purchase on the Autofixer netpage, unlocked by Street Cred.
Performance
The Specter is a weaponized car with machine guns. The guns fire straight ahead, so the driver aims by pointing the nose of the car at the target. They reload once their ammo runs out. The Autofixer netpage marks armed cars like this one with a weapon icon in the corner of the listing.
Gearhead from the Technical Ability tree is the key perk for an armed car. It adds vehicle health and gives mounted weapons more damage. It also cuts their lock-on time. Road Warrior from the Cool tree adds weapon damage while the car drifts or is airborne. Stuntjock from the Reflexes tree removes the bullet spread penalty for shooting a handheld weapon while driving.

Lore
Archer is best known for the Hella, a family car so reliable and so cheap that it flooded the market. The in-game Database says Archer then branched out into sports cars, and the Quartz was the result. It was a two-seater with a durable engine and a fair price. The Quartz proved tough enough for the harsh desert climate, so it became a mainstay of the nomads. People who travel between cities learned to fear the shape of a Quartz on the horizon.
Notes
- The Quartz "Sidewinder" is the other armed Quartz. It unlocks through El Capitan's vehicle contracts in Phantom Liberty instead.
