Motorcycles

Motorcycles are the light, quick way to cross Night City. A bike slips through gaps in traffic and down tight streets where a car gets stuck. The Autofixer sells bikes from ARCH, Brennan and Yaiba. ARCH builds heavy cruisers, Brennan builds tough off-road bikes, and Yaiba builds sleek sport bikes. Several more bikes are free rewards from jobs, including Jackie Welles' own ARCH Nazaré. The Yaiba Kusanagi CT-3X is the fastest bike in the game.

Driving

A motorcycle feels very different from a car. It is light and nimble, and it threads between cars in a traffic jam. Each bike still carries a stash in a compartment at the rear. Bikes split into two groups. Road bikes are built for asphalt, and off-road bikes are built for the desert.

ARCH. The ARCH Nazaré is a heavy bike that mixes a cruiser with a racing machine. It has sharp steering and a big engine that suit an aggressive rider. It is the same model Jackie rides. The Autofixer sells the plain Nazaré for €$ 71,000, the Nazaré "Kobold" for 68,000 and the Nazaré "Racer" for 74,000. The free Nazaré "Itsumade" and Jackie's ARCH share its performance.

Brennan. The Brennan Apollo is a rugged desert bike with a big fuel tank, a tough frame and soft suspension. It handles rocky ground with ease. At €$ 30,000 it is the cheapest bike on the Autofixer. The Apollo 650-S is a variant from the same maker for €$ 36,000. Scorpion's Apollo is a lighter Aldecaldos build that Panam gives V.

Yaiba. The Yaiba Kusanagi CT-3X is the classic sports bike of the city. Its sleek frame recalls Kaneda's bike from Akira, and a powerful engine hides under its shell. The Tyger Claws love it. It costs €$ 66,000. The Kusanagi "Akashita" costs 72,000 and the Kusanagi "Peacekeeper" costs 75,000. The Yaiba ASM-R250 Muramasa is the rarest Yaiba, a made-to-order bike that costs €$ 95,000.

Weapons work differently on two wheels. V can fire a pistol, a revolver or an SMG while riding. On a bike, V can also throw knives and axes, and they aim like a gun. Road Warrior from the Cool tree adds 25% weapon damage while the bike drifts or is airborne. Stuntjock from the Reflexes tree removes the bullet spread penalty for shooting on the move. It also unlocks jump and slide exits.

Pros

• A bike slips through traffic jams and tight spaces.
• The rear compartment holds a stash, like a car's trunk.
• V can throw knives and axes from the saddle.

Cons

• Road bikes such as the Kusanagi struggle on rough ground.
• A bike has room for V alone.
• The Brennan Apollo is the slowest bike on the road.

Best Motorcycles

Name	Image	Why
Yaiba Kusanagi CT-3X Fastest motorcycle in the game
ARCH Nazaré Fast, heavy and sharp to steer
ARCH Nazaré "Itsumade"	-	Nazaré speed for free
Jackie's ARCH	-	Free Nazaré from Heroes
Scorpion's Apollo	-	Best bike off the road

The Yaiba Kusanagi CT-3X is the fastest bike in the game. It is a road bike, so it belongs on the streets rather than in the dunes.

The ARCH Nazaré comes close on speed. It is a heavy bike with sharp steering. The Nazaré "Itsumade" gives the same performance for nothing. It waits in a locked garage near the All Foods plant in Northside, Watson, behind the keypad code 0214. The code opens the garage at any time, even before the side job The Highwayman starts.

Jackie's ARCH is the sentimental pick. Mama Welles gives it to V in the side job Heroes after The Heist. If Jackie's body went to Viktor, the keys wait in a box in V's apartment instead.

Scorpion's Apollo is the bike for the Badlands. It is a Brennan Apollo stripped of extra weight, and its off-road build handles rough ground. Panam lets V keep it at the end of Life During Wartime.

Notes

• A Nomad V who talks to Jackie about his bike in The Pickup can suggest a louder exhaust. That choice leads to Jackie's Tuned ARCH later.
• During Act 1, Jackie's bike shows as an ARCH Nazaré.
• The Muramasa invitation comes after V buys a Yaiba and several other vehicles on the Autofixer and finishes Reported Crime: You Play with Fire. At the showroom in Charter Hill, V picks the parts for a custom order. If V fails the job, the Muramasa can be bought on the Autofixer later.
• Scorpion's Apollo is V's whether or not V rode bikes during Life During Wartime.
