Lore
The Database tells how Archer ran into trouble after the Hella. The family car proved so reliable and cheap that it soon filled the market. To keep from competing with itself, Archer moved into sports cars. The result was the Quartz, a two-seater with a durable engine at an approachable price.
Its quiet elegance and sturdy design won fans beyond the urban middle class. The Quartz also proved well suited to the harsh desert climate, so it became a mainstay for many nomads. The text warns that city folk who travel between states know that a Quartz on the horizon spells trouble.
Notes
- Nomads build the armed Sidewinder and the Bandit from the same Quartz line.
