Trucks
Trucks are the heavy haulers of Night City and the Badlands. The game files them in the Heavy Duty class, the vehicles that win on power and brute force rather than speed. Most trucks on the road haul freight or soldiers for corporations and the military. The Chevillon Legatus 450 Aquila is the truck V can buy and own. It sits on the Autofixer netpage for €$ 55,000. Players who want a real truck of their own will find it here.
Driving
A truck drives like the opposite of a sports car. It trades top speed for weight, power and room. All-wheel drive helps most trucks cross rough ground where a street car loses grip.
Chevillon Legatus 450 Aquila. Chevillon builds the Legatus next to its Thrax limousines and Emperor SUVs. Its name comes from the Roman army. A legatus was a high-ranking commander, and the aquila was the eagle standard of a Roman legion. V buys it on the Autofixer at an Autofixer terminal or on the computer in one of V's apartments.
Kaukaz and Militech trucks. Kaukaz builds the Bratsk U4020, a huge Soviet heavy-duty truck, and the smaller Zeya U420. Militech builds the Behemoth, an armoured transport. They are part of the traffic on the highways and at the docks.
Driving a truck in a job. Some jobs put V behind the wheel of a truck for a while. In the Phantom Liberty side job Baby Let Me Take You, El Capitan sends V to the docks to steal an Arasaka Behemoth full of medicine. V drives it to his garage in Arroyo while Arasaka squads give chase.
Pickups and the Heavy Duty class. The pickups of Night City count as cars, not trucks. Even so, the game puts Claire's Thorton Mackinaw "Beast" in the Heavy Duty class. The Beast is a black racing pickup with racing suspension and bulletproof armour, and its all-wheel drive moves 560 horsepower. The Thorton Mackinaw "Saguaro" shares that engine and adds a caged bed and a bigger fuel tank. The Thorton Mackinaw "Demiurge" is a monster truck with more than a thousand horsepower. Its top speed is only around 100 miles per hour, so it is a truck for showing off rather than for racing.
Perks suit a heavy vehicle well. Fury Road from the Body tree adds 50% damage to enemy vehicles and their occupants in a crash. It also halves the damage to V's own vehicle, and V takes no collision damage at all. Gearhead from the Technical Ability tree adds 33% vehicle health.
Pros
- All-wheel drive copes with dirt, sand and rocks.
- Fury Road turns every crash into an attack.
Cons
- Trucks are slow at the top end.
- The Legatus costs €$ 55,000, far more than a family car such as the Thorton Colby C125.

| Chevillon Legatus 450 Aquila | The truck V can own |
The Legatus 450 Aquila is the one way to keep a real truck in V's garage. It needs no job and no vehicle contracts. Autofixer discount shards from vehicle contracts and street races lower its price like any other purchase.
Notes
- The Militech Behemoth in Baby Let Me Take You is a job vehicle. When the job ends, El Capitan gives V the Herrera Outlaw "Weiler" instead.
- The Mackinaw "Demiurge" is the free reward at the end of the FF:06:B5 mystery in the Badlands.
