| Affects | Only affects Tech Weapons |
Internal Clock widens the window in which a Bolt can be fired. The timing that the Bolt depends on becomes much easier to hit, which turns an occasional trick into something V can do every shot. It sits in the Tech weapon branch of the Technical Ability tree. It is the perk that makes the branch reliable.
Effect
The Bolt is fired by releasing the trigger in a narrow moment just before the charge finishes. Miss it early and the shot is weak, miss it late and the weapon fires on its own.
A wider window removes most of that risk. Every other perk in the branch depends on Bolts being fired, so this one quietly raises the value of all of them.
How to Unlock Internal Clock
It sits behind the Phenom gate of the Technical Ability tree and is bought from Bolt.
Perk Tree
Internal Clock is bought from Bolt in the Technical Ability tree.
| Name | Image | Tier | Effect |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bolt | Phenom (15) | +20% charge speed for Tech Weapons. |
Character Builds
It belongs to a Tech weapon Technical Ability build, and it is bought before any of the other Bolt perks because all of them depend on Bolts actually landing.
Buy it at the Phenom gate directly after Bolt, with In Charge in the same visit. Together they remove almost all of the timing pressure, which is what turns the branch from a trick into a weapon. Lightning Storm then has a run of Bolts to stack on.
Notes
In Charge stops the weapon discharging at full charge, which removes the other half of the timing problem.
Lightning Storm stacks charge speed for each Bolt in a row, and a wider window is what keeps the run going.
