Multitasker

| Class | Reflexes Perk |
| Attribute | Reflexes |
| Tier | Rookie (4) |
| Levels | 1 |
| Requires | Slippery |
Multitasker lets V shoot while sprinting, sliding and vaulting. Without it those moves put the weapon away, which means every piece of movement is also a pause in the fight. It is one of the earliest picks in the Reflexes tree. It is the perk that turns running into fighting.
Effect
The restriction it removes is a quiet one. Most builds never notice that a slide cancels the trigger until they try to use movement as a defence, and then it becomes the single biggest problem they have.
With the perk bought, speed costs nothing. The same slide that makes V harder to hit now also carries fire into the room, so the defensive move and the attack are the same action.
How to Unlock Multitasker
It sits behind the Rookie gate of the Reflexes tree, within reach of the first points spent there. Slippery is bought first.
Perk Tree
Multitasker is bought from Slippery in the Reflexes tree.
| Name | Image | Tier | Effect |
|---|---|---|---|
| Slippery | Rookie (4) | The faster you move, the more difficult for enemies to shoot you. Effect increases when Dashing, dodging, sliding, sprinting and vaulting. |
Character Builds
It belongs to any Reflexes build, whatever it is holding, because a build that cannot fire while moving is not using the tree at all.
Buy it at the Rookie gate directly after Slippery, with Muscle Memory in the same visit. Together they are the cheapest large improvement in the game to how a build feels. Gundancer much higher in the tree finishes the set by removing the slow that aiming adds, which matters once the build is firing an assault rifle from the shoulder.
Notes
Muscle Memory does the same for reloading, and the pair are almost always taken together.
Gundancer higher in the tree removes the slow that aiming puts on movement, which finishes the job this perk starts.
