Practice Makes Perfect converts sustained accurate fire into critical hits. Every stack of Sharpshooter raises both critical hit chance and critical damage, so a build that keeps landing shots ends up hitting far harder than it started. It sits near the top of the Reflexes tree. It is the biggest damage increase the automatic branch offers.
Effect
Both halves of the critical equation move at once, which is unusual. Chance decides how often the bonus fires and damage decides how large it is, and multiplying them together is what makes the numbers climb so steeply.
Because the bonus is per stack, the perk is weakest at the start of a magazine and strongest deep into one. A build that fires in careful bursts and never misses holds the full set for as long as the fight lasts.
How to Unlock Practice Makes Perfect
It sits behind the Phenom gate of the Reflexes tree. The stacks it reads come from Sharpshooter, so that perk has to be fully bought before this one does anything.
Character Builds
It belongs to an automatic weapon Reflexes build that has bought Sharpshooter and fires in controlled bursts. An assault rifle suits it, since its accuracy holds the stacks together.
Buy it at the Phenom gate once Sharpshooter is fully in place. Reflexes itself raises critical hit chance per point, so a tall Reflexes build is already partway there, and critical damage from cyberware or the Cool tree multiplies the other half.
Notes
Shoot To Chill reads the same stacks as armour penetration, and the two together turn a submachine gun into something that cuts through heavy enemies.
Reflexes itself raises critical hit chance for every point spent in it, so this perk compounds with the attribute.
