Astracite is a crystalized essence that remains after defeating Phantasm. It's a Material in Dragon's Dogma 2 used for upgrading various Weapons and Armor and is obtainable by either killing Phantasms, buying it at Merchants or as loot in specific locations.
Astracite has identical appearance as Eldricite and Miasmite.

It is worth keeping a stock of, because upgrades for many pieces of gear call for it. Gear that needs it includes Almace, Bane of Bones, Bolts from the Blue, Cyclopean Thunder and Favored Canopy. It drops from Phantasm.
