Intelligence is an attribute in Elden Ring.
Intelligence is the attribute that powers sorcery. Most sorceries and glintstone staves need it to be used at all, and staves with Intelligence scaling grow stronger with every point. It also raises magic defense.
Effects
Each point in Intelligence raises sorcery requirements, sorcery and staff scaling, intelligence weapon damage and magic defense.
Soft Caps
Magic defense from Intelligence grows more slowly after levels 20, 35 and 60.
Builds
Pure sorcerers raise Intelligence above all else to boost their staves and spells. Spellblades mix it with Strength or Dexterity to use weapons that scale with magic.
Notes
- Glintstone crowns such as the Karolos and Twinsage crowns add Intelligence at a cost.
- The Stargazer Heirloom adds Intelligence while worn.
