Strength is an attribute in Elden Ring.
Strength is the attribute that lets a character wield heavy weapons and boosts the damage of weapons that scale with it. Most large weapons, from greatswords to hammers, ask for high Strength. It also adds a little physical defense.
Effects
Each point in Strength raises strength weapon requirements, strength weapon damage and physical defense.
Soft Caps
Physical defense from Strength grows more slowly after levels 30, 40 and 60, while weapon scaling caps change from weapon to weapon.
Builds
Strength is the core of builds built around colossal weapons, great hammers and heavy greatswords. Holding a weapon with two hands counts as half again as much Strength for scaling and requirements.
Notes
- The two-handed Strength bonus skips paired weapons such as fists and claws, though the Starscourge Greatsword still receives it.
- Radagon's Scarseal and the Starscourge Heirloom both add Strength while worn.
