Necromancer Garris is a dungeon boss in Elden Ring.
Necromancer Garris is a heretical sage who hides behind an illusory wall deep in Sage's Cave on the Altus Plateau. He fights like a Tarnished, with a flail of three copper heads and a staff of death sorcery. Skeletal snails keep dropping from the ceiling throughout the fight and cast homing skulls of their own. Garris himself is frail and falls quickly once he is cornered.
Lore
Garris is a sage in plain robes. He swings a flail of three copper heads on chains and casts from a staff of death sorcery.
The heads of his flail were made to resemble his wife and two children. Rattling them calls up vengeful spirits, for the anguish of a spouse and children invites accursed wrath.
Garris rediscovered an ancient death hex of the servants of Death, once thought lost, which summons vengeful spirits to chase down foes.

Attacks
- Flail Combos: fast, short-range flail strikes that cause bleeding, often followed by a roll away; block or interrupt them and stay close.
- Homing Skulls: he summons a swarm of slow, homing skulls; back away until they fade, or interrupt the cast.
- Skeletal Snails: snails drop from the ceiling, roll at foes and cast skulls too; kill them quickly with strike attacks.
- Counterattack: when a foe's poise breaks, he rushes in for a heavy follow up; keep poise and stamina in reserve.
Tactics
- Find the illusory wall in the room with the two chests to reach his fog gate.
- End the fight quickly, before too many snails gather.
- Smash the snails with strike weapons as they appear.
- Stay close to Garris and stagger him with heavy or jumping attacks.
- Summon Spirit Ashes to hold off the snails.
- Use fast spells to interrupt his skull summons.
