Smithing Master Hewg is a character in Elden Ring.
Smithing Master Hewg is the blacksmith of the Roundtable Hold and the main smith of Elden Ring. He strengthens armaments up to their highest levels. He also applies Ashes of War and duplicates them from Lost Ashes of War. His story is tied to Roderika and to a weapon he was ordered to forge.
Lore
Hewg is a scaly Misbegotten who works at his anvil with a heavy hammer. He is bound to the Roundtable Hold in chains.
Long ago Queen Marika charged him with forging a weapon that could slay a god, and he has smithed for Tarnished ever since. He speaks of her with fear and prays before his anvil.
When the Erdtree burns and the hold catches fire, his chains break, yet he refuses to leave. His mind slowly fails, but he keeps smithing for any Tarnished who means to kill a god.
