Flame Altar And Base Improvements (2) shows the two ways to grow a home. Upgrading a Flame Altar widens its building range and needs a Shroud Core from a boss. Strengthening the Flame allows more bases, and a second altar can go anywhere in the wilds.

The quest step by step:
- Finish Flame Altar And Base Improvements (1) and clear the second Elixir Well.
- Defeat a boss and take its Shroud Core.
- Upgrade the Flame Altar with the core to widen the building range.
- Build a second Flame Altar anywhere above the Shroud.
Prerequisites
This quest opens after Flame Altar And Base Improvements (1), the first Flame quest about the altar. That quest asks for Sparks from Flame Sanctums and Flame Shrines. The Sparks then strengthen the Flame at the Flame Altar. A stronger Flame lets the player push deeper into the Shroud and allows more bases. The next step teaches how to make each base bigger and how to build more of them.
