Dragon's Oath is one of two champion swords added by the Civil War Champions Creation, and the fire half of the pair. At 3103 gold it is among the most valuable one-handed weapons in the game, and at 10 weight it is lighter than most swords that hit as hard.
Weapon Enchantment
Burns the target for 30 points, and a target already alight takes extra damage. That is the same magnitude as Goldbrand carries, on a sword you can have far earlier.
Where to Find the Dragon's Oath
- The Battle of the Champions quest awards it.
- Which champion you fight depends on the side you took in the civil war, so the sword you end up with depends on that choice as well.
Smithing Guide
Tempering it needs the Arcane Blacksmith perk, because the weapon is enchanted. The material perk below doubles what each improvement is worth.

Weapon Levels
