Fire Enchanter is the first of the three elemental perks in the Enchanting tree in Skyrim. It requires skill level 30 and Enchanter, and it makes new fire enchantments twenty-five per cent stronger.
What It Actually Covers
The description names weapons and armour, but the perk quietly applies to clothing and jewellery as well. A ring enchanted with Resist Fire benefits exactly as a cuirass would.
It affects **new** enchantments only. Anything already enchanted keeps the value it was made with.
Position In The Tree
This is the gateway to the elemental line. Frost Enchanter requires it at level 40, Storm Enchanter follows at 50, and Storm is one of the two routes into Extra Effect.
A character who wants Extra Effect but has no interest in elemental damage should weigh this route against the armour line through Insightful Enchanter and Corpus Enchanter, which costs the same two perk points.
