The Barka is a walking frozen tree, the Deep North's answer to The Elder. It has 2,200 health, resists most physical damage, takes normal chop damage and is weak to fire.
A Barka spawns dormant and wakes up when a player comes within 20 metres, or makes noise within 50. It has five attacks on separate cooldowns, with a reach of up to 20 metres.
Up close, the Whip Flurry lashes its roots across a 160-degree arc out to ten metres for 100 blunt and 100 frost. The Heavy Swing sweeps a 90-degree arc out to eight metres for 160 blunt and 100 frost. Both are ready every seven seconds. At four to twelve metres, the Whip Slam comes down in a nine-metre, 50-degree vertical arc for 100 blunt, 100 pierce and 40 frost. From ten to twenty metres away it charges in with the Slam Drive for 180 blunt and 100 frost, with twice the knockback of its other attacks. Stand three to twelve metres behind it and you get the Back Slam for 190 blunt and 80 frost, on a three-second cooldown, the shortest it has.
Its attacks also deal tier 3 chop and pickaxe damage, and they hit allied creatures too.

Strengths and Weaknesses
Blunt, slash, pierce, frost and lightning are resisted and do half damage, while poison and spirit do nothing. Fire is its weakness, and chop lands in full. It staggers once it has taken physical or lightning damage equal to 30% of its health, which is 660.
