A Favor for a Friend is a secondary quest in Velen. It starts with Keira Metz at the end of A Towerful of Mice. A merchant's wagon was bringing Keira some rare ingredients, but it never arrived. Keira asks Geralt to track it down.
A Favor for a Friend Map Location and Quest Guide
A Favor for a Friend map location:
- Travel to Hangman's Alley.
- Kill the drowners and the water hag near the signpost.
- Find the wagon tracks on the road near the signpost.
- Follow the tracks south into the forest to the wagon.
- Follow the blood trail and kill the rotfiend by the body.
- Loot the body for a note.
- Take the package from the chest beneath the wagon.
- Bring the ingredients to Keira.
- Wait with Keira and step outside when she asks.
- Race Keira to the meadow.
- Find Keira using Witcher Senses if the evening turns romantic.

Choices
The ingredients turn out to be rare treats with no magic in them. Keira then asks Geralt to play Prince Charming for the evening. If Geralt refuses, the quest fails. If he agrees, Keira offers a spell to make their clothes look grand. Turning the spell down changes nothing.
Winning the race to the meadow earns an extra 50 XP. After supper, Keira proposes a romance. Geralt can follow the trail of clothes down to the water and spend the night with her. He can also refuse and simply lie with her under the stars. This choice has no effect on a later romance with Triss or Yennefer.
Either way, Keira puts Geralt to sleep with a spell. He wakes at dawn to find her gone.
