Then a host of mice swarmed the tower and ate everyone, including the lord and his mage, Alexander. Fishermen now fear the haunted lake.

Choices

Anabelle was the lord's daughter. During the massacre, she drank a potion from the mage, thinking it would kill her. It only froze her, and the rats ate her alive when she woke. Her love for a fisherman named Graham holds her spirit in the tower. She asks Geralt to bring her bones to Graham so he can bury them.

If Geralt takes the bones to Graham in Oreton, the fisherman admits he let the peasants onto the island. Geralt leaves, then hears a scream from Graham's cabin. Graham lies dead among the rats, and Anabelle floats above him as a plague maiden. The curse is broken, but the plague maiden is now free to spread disease. This path gives 300 XP.

If Geralt refuses, Anabelle shows her true form as a plague maiden and attacks. She cannot die while the curse holds. Keira sends Geralt to Graham in Oreton. Geralt brings Graham to the tower, and the wraiths of the victims attack them on the way. At the top, Graham tells Anabelle he still loves her and kisses her. The kiss lifts the curse, but Graham dies. This path gives 500 XP.
