Child of the Elder Blood is a main quest inside Battle Preparations. Ciri tells Geralt that Avallac'h has a secret lair. Not even Ciri, his star pupil, was ever allowed inside. Geralt, Ciri and Yennefer go there to learn what the Sage is hiding. They find a laboratory full of research on the gene of Lara Dorren, which Ciri carries in her blood.
Child of the Elder Blood Quest Guide
- Sail to the island with Avallac'h's laboratory and find the cave entrance between the two islands.
- Talk to Yennefer and wait for the door to open.
- Kill the golem that wakes up.
- Explore the laboratory with Witcher Senses.
- Talk to Yennefer.
- Examine the chart of Lara Dorren's bloodline in the next room.
- Enter the bedroom and talk to the elf woman there.
- Talk to Ciri and answer her anger.
- Search the laboratory with Witcher Senses.
- Meet Ciri outside the laboratory and answer her request to visit Skjall's grave.
Choices
Ciri is furious after meeting Avallac'h's elven lover. Geralt can tell her to go ahead and wreck the place, or tell her to calm down. Letting her vent counts toward a good fate for Ciri. Telling her to calm down counts toward a bad one.
Outside, Ciri asks Geralt to come with her to Skjall's grave on Hindarsfjall. Agreeing counts toward a good fate and starts Skjall's Grave. Refusing upsets Ciri and counts toward a bad fate.
