Cleaver Hood is a Relic steel sword from the base game. It rolls up to +90 armor piercing and up to +70% crit damage. A fixed copy lies on the body of Therazane, an earth elemental imprisoned in the elven ruins under Moldavie Residence in the Gustfields. Its stats roll on the drop. The Gustfields copy sits near Oxenfurt.
Each copy rolls its bonuses within set ranges: +20-90 armor piercing, +20-70% crit damage and +1-2% chance to dismember.
It has 3 rune slots. These can hold three runestones or one runeword, which fills all three slots of a sword.
How to Get Cleaver Hood
- Go to the elven ruins under Moldavie Residence in the Gustfields.
- Loot the sword from the body of Therazane, the earth elemental imprisoned there.
- It also drops as random loot.
Cleaver Hood Map Location and Quest Guide
The pin marks the elven ruins under Moldavie Residence in Novigrad. Therazane, an earth elemental, is fought there in Contract: Doors Slamming Shut. The relic Cleaver Hood drops from Therazane's body.
- Take the contract notice from the Hierarch Square or Gildorf notice board.
- Talk to Count Kurt Dysart on the second floor of the Kingfisher and take the key to his house.
- Search Moldavie Residence with Witcher Senses, then blast the cracked wall in the basement with Aard.
- Read Amaverick of Sorano's journal in the elven ruins below and examine the root on the other table.
- Swim down the flooded hallway and use the switch to raise the blocked door.
- Use Aard on the device behind the force field to release Therazane.
- Kill Therazane, sparing at least one wooden support so Kurt lives, and loot its body for the Cleaver Hood.
