Deithwen is a Relic silver sword from the base game with 3 rune slots. It rolls +5-20 frost damage and has a 1% chance to freeze. Fixed copies come from quests and treasure hunts in Velen, Novigrad, Skellige and Kaer Morhen. Each fixed copy takes its level when it drops, so the sword fits any stage.
The frost damage adds to each of its sword hits. The freeze chance adds a small chance to freeze the target. Each copy rolls its own frost damage inside the 5-20 range.
How to Get Deithwen
- Open the chest at the end of the treasure hunt Sunken Chest in The Mire, Velen.
- In In Wolf's Clothing in Skellige, it is the reward for lifting Morkvarg's curse.
- In Contract: The White Lady in Novigrad, loot it from the noonwraith's remains.
- During Master Armorers, it is in the chest with the high-quality smithing tools.
- During The Final Trial, it is in the chest behind the first obstacle that Aard can break.
- It also drops as random loot.
