In Wolf's Clothing is a secondary quest on Hindarsfjall in Skellige. Freya's garden was once the pride of the isles, but it has fallen into ruin. A cruel pirate named Morkvarg brought it down. A curse turned him into a werewolf and trapped him inside the garden walls. Freya's priestesses now offer a reward to anyone who can drive him off or kill him.

In Wolf's Clothing Map Location and Quest Guide

In Wolf's Clothing map location:

  1. Take the job from the notice in Larvik, or reach the garden on Ciri's trail.
  2. Talk to the priestess Josta about Morkvarg.
  3. Talk to Einar in Larvik about the curse.
  4. Find the abandoned garden and track down Morkvarg.
  5. Use Witcher Senses to look for the key Morkvarg talks about.
  6. Find a way into the flooded cave under Morkvarg's lair.
  7. Search the cave with Witcher Senses to find the key.
  8. Unlock the chapter house doors and search the chapter house.
  9. Read Morkvarg's journal.
  10. Return to Larvik and ask Einar why he lied about Morkvarg.
  11. Calm Einar to hear about the cursed fang, or kill him and his helpers.
  12. Defeat Morkvarg again and give him the fang, or feed him his own flesh.
  13. Collect the reward from Josta.
  14. If Morkvarg promised a reward, collect it from the pawnshop in Novigrad.

Choices

Morkvarg cannot die for good while the curse holds. Geralt has two ways to end it. The quick way is to feed the werewolf his own flesh. The curse lifts, but Morkvarg dies without ever turning human again.

The longer way runs through Morkvarg's journal. It shows that Einar was one of his old crew, and that Einar, not the high priestess, cast the curse. Einar also holds the cursed fang that can lift it. Giving the fang to Morkvarg turns him human and mortal again.

Once he is human, Geralt can kill Morkvarg on the spot. He can also let him go free and ask for the reward he promised. That reward waits at the pawnshop in Novigrad and includes the silver sword Deithwen.
