Master Armorers is a secondary quest in Velen. It starts with the dwarf Fergus at his forge in Crow's Perch. Geralt wants armour of the highest quality, and the job takes him all the way to Undvik in Skellige. Finishing it opens the forge that makes Mastercrafted witcher gear.
Master Armorers Quest Guide
- Talk to Fergus at the forge in Crow's Perch and ask about master armour.
- Listen to his assistant Yoana talk about the smithing tools of Clan Tordarroch.
- Sail to Undvik and find the Clan Tordarroch Forge.
- Defeat the troll that guards the forge.
- Use Witcher Senses to find the chest and take the High-Quality Smithing Tools.
- Bring the tools back to Fergus.
- Listen to Yoana after Harmon aep Groenekan takes Fergus inside.
- Hunt an archgriffin and take its acid gland.
- Give the acid gland to Yoana.
- Agree to wear Yoana's armour for Harmon's test.
- Watch the test and talk to Fergus.
- Wait one day while Yoana forges the armour, then collect it.
Choices
Yoana asks Geralt to trust her and to stand as the target in the armour test. If Geralt agrees, her armour wins and the forge passes to her. Fergus stays on as her helper. She then forges the Witch Hunter's Armor for Geralt.
If Geralt refuses to take part, Harmon decides that Yoana is a fraud. She packs up and leaves Velen for good, and the quest fails.
