Father Knows Worst is a secondary quest in Toussaint from Blood and Wine. The Monnart brothers post a notice in Beauclair asking for an armed escort into a cave. By the time Geralt meets them at Albertus Grotto, two of them have fled outside in terror. Their third brother, Hugo, is still inside, and monsters have attacked him.

Father Knows Worst map location:

1. Take the Armed Escort Wanted! notice from the Gran'place notice board, or go straight to Albertus Grotto.
2. Talk to Lucien and Auguste Monnart at the cave entrance.
3. Go into the grotto and defeat the kikimores.
4. Use Witcher Senses to look for signs of Hugo.
5. Follow the trail of blood to Hugo and talk to him.
6. Find the hot spring and dive in for the Still Filter.
7. Return the filter to Hugo.
8. Walk with Hugo to the cave exit, where his brothers wait with armed men.
9. Choose whether to fight the brothers.

Hugo asks Geralt to find a condenser, part of a complicated still his father built. The father had cast this part into an underground lake. Geralt can agree or refuse. Bringing back the filter earns 100 crowns.

At the exit, Hugo begs Geralt to teach his brothers a lesson. Geralt can agree and fight them and their men. He can also say that no one dies today. Then the three brothers talk out their quarrel and agree to go into business together. The peaceful ending pays the most crowns.
