The Kikimore Worker is an Insectoid found in Toussaint. Workers are met in the Blood and Wine story.
Lore
Lavinia, the wife of an innkeeper in Beauclair, did not believe her husband's tale. The old fool came home black and blue and blamed kikimores in the woods. In truth, the beating came from drinking mates angry about cheating at gwent. Had it really been kikimores, Lavinia said, the husband would be dead.
Kikimores live in colonies, much like ants and other insects that live together. A queen rules each colony, and the colony has a clear order of ranks. Kikimore workers hunt for food and carry it back to the nest. Kikimore Warriors defend the nest against attackers.
Behaviour
A lone worker is easy to kill, even for a weak person or a child. It is rare, though, to meet one alone. Workers usually move in groups. Against a swarm of kikimores, an ordinary person can only run. Even that may not save them.
Workers follow the orders of the warriors. On command, a swarm can dig tunnels close to its prey and then attack all at once by surprise. Kill the warrior that guides the swarm, and the workers scatter and stop digging. Workers are nimbler and quicker than warriors.
Weaknesses
Coat the silver sword with Insectoid Oil. Igni is the Sign to use against them. White Honey is useful in this fight as well.

Kikimore workers turn up in several Blood and Wine quests. In Contract: The Tufo Monster, a kikimore nest lies in the tunnels under the Tufo Vineyard. The eggs in the nest are destroyed during the hunt.
In La Cage au Fou, a main quest, the way into a crypt runs through underground caves. Kikimore workers have to be fought off there before the search can go on.
