The Kikimore Warrior is an Insectoid that defends a kikimore nest from attackers. Kikimores live in Toussaint.
Lore
A dwarven children's fable, "The Kikimore Princess and the Mountain Giants", tells of a princess who calls all her loyal sisters to defend their queen. Real kikimores live in colonies much like ants. Each colony is ruled by a queen and has its own order. Workers hunt for food and bring it back to the nest, while warriors defend the nest.
Nobody knows for sure how kikimores talk to each other. Their bodies are so toxic that autopsies are hard to carry out. Scholars have found that kikimores seem to have no ears. An amateur researcher, Count di Salvaress, offered a theory in his treatise "A Microscope Among Monsters". He suggested that kikimores have a keen sense of smell. They may pass on messages through scents in the air that humans cannot detect. The theory has been neither proved nor disproved.
Behaviour
Kikimore Warriors command swarms of Kikimore Workers. The workers protect each warrior and obey its orders until the last worker is dead. On command, a swarm can dig tunnels close to its prey for a surprise attack.
Weaknesses
Coat the silver sword with Insectoid Oil, since oils and bombs that harm insectoids work well. Igni is also effective. Axii has no effect on a kikimore warrior at all.
A warrior wears thick, hard armor that turns aside even the sharpest sword. It attacks a little more slowly than a worker. It leaps at its foe, and an ordinary dodge is often not enough to escape that strike. It also spits streams of caustic venom over a long distance. The venom reacts with a witcher's body and raises potion toxicity, so keep White Honey on hand to clear it. Kill the warrior early. Once it dies, its workers scatter and stop digging.

| Father Knows Worst | Notice board | Albertus Grotto, Toussaint | Up to 300 crowns |
Kikimores fill the Albertus Grotto in the secondary quest Father Knows Worst, in Toussaint. The quest starts from a notice on the board in the Gran'place, or by finding the grotto itself. The Monnart brothers want an armed escort into the cave, and the kikimores attack inside.
