How to Get Gnomish Gwyhyr

Crafted: spare the imp in Contract: An Elusive Thief in Novigrad to get Diagram: Gnomish Gwyhyr. The diagram also appears at random diagram locations. All blacksmiths in Skellige and the merchant at the Isolated Hut on Hindarsfjall sell it. A master blacksmith crafts the sword.
Common, Master and Magic (loot): they drop as random loot.

Gnomish Gwyhyr Map Location and Quest Guide

The pin marks Contract: An Elusive Thief, posted on the Hierarch Square notice board in Novigrad by the merchant Sylvester Amello. The imp behind the thefts is a doppler. It hands over the Gnomish Gwyhyr diagram if it is let go. A master blacksmith crafts the sword from it.

Take Contract: Imp from the Hierarch Square notice board and speak to Sylvester Amello at the marketplace.
Follow the imp's tracks from his stall to the wall, then the scratches to the bridge.
Swim across the moat and follow the footprints to a house with an open door.
Read the short letter on the table. The imp is a doppler.
Examine the clothes upstairs and follow the scent of lavender perfume.
Follow the doppler closely when he runs, then grab him.
Defeat the doppler and choose to let him go. He gives Geralt the Gnomish Gwyhyr diagram.
