1. Start Scavenger Hunt: Griffin School Gear Upgrade Diagrams - Part 2 by finding any of its diagrams, or by buying Edwin Greloff's second map from the armorer in Midcopse.
2. Go to the cave east of the Crossroads signpost.
3. Head all the way to the end of the cave.
4. Loot the chest beside the bodies there for the silver sword diagram.
