Armorers

An armorer is a craftsman who makes armor from diagrams. Armorers also repair gear and dismantle items into crafting components. An armorer's rank decides which diagrams they can make. Blacksmiths do the same work for weapons.

Ranks

Armorers rank as Amateur, Journeyman, Master or Grandmaster. Each armor diagram names the rank it needs. Mastercrafted witcher armor needs a Master armorer. Armorers show on the map with their own icon.

Master Armorers

Yoana at Crow's Perch becomes a Master armorer through the quest Master Armorers. The quest starts with Fergus, the armorer she works for. Fergus needs smithing tools from the Clan Tordarroch forge on Undvik, where a troll guards them. Yoana then asks for an archgriffin acid gland. Her armor faces a test with Geralt as the human target. Once she proves herself, she takes over the forge and makes the Witch Hunter's Armor.

The Runewright at Upper Mill works as a Master armorer once his workshop is fully funded. Lazare Lafargue in Hauteville becomes a Grandmaster armorer after the quest Master Master Master Master!
