Superior Northern Wind is the top tier of Northern Wind. It freezes foes for longer, and blows landed on them deal extra damage. Each frozen foe also faces a chance of instant death. One brew holds 4 charges.
Frozen foes stay locked in place for a short time. Nekkers, Water Hags and Fire Elementals are weak to it.
Variants
Northern Wind comes in Base, Enhanced and Superior variants. Each one is brewed from the tier below it.

How to Get Superior Northern Wind
- Search chests and guarded treasure across the world, where the formula turns up as random loot.
- Brew an Enhanced Northern Wind first, since the recipe uses one.
- Brew it from the alchemy menu, outside combat, with 1 Saltpeter, 1 Enhanced Northern Wind, 3 Ducal Water, 2 Powdered Pearl, 2 Verbena, 3 Allspice and 1 Quebrith.
- Meditate with strong alcohol such as Dwarven Spirit, Alcohest or White Gull in the inventory to refill its charges.
Notes
The Pyrotechnics skill makes Superior Northern Wind deal damage on top of its effect.
