Northern Wind is a bomb that freezes foes. Blows landed on frozen foes deal extra damage. This base tier holds 2 charges. Keira Metz and the Pellar both sell the formula in Velen.
Frozen foes stay locked in place for a short time. Nekkers, Water Hags and Fire Elementals are weak to it.
Variants

How to Get Northern Wind
- Buy the formula from Keira Metz at her hut near Midcopse in Velen, from the Pellar near Blackbough, from the Herbalist in Glory Lane, Novigrad, or from Otto Bamber at the Herbalist's Hut northeast of Oxenfurt.
- Brew it from the alchemy menu, outside combat, with 1 Saltpeter, 1 Ducal Water, 1 Powdered Pearl and 2 Allspice.
- Meditate with strong alcohol such as Dwarven Spirit, Alcohest or White Gull in the inventory to refill its charges.
Notes
The Pyrotechnics skill makes Northern Wind deal damage on top of its effect.
