The Hunger Game is a secondary quest in the Blood and Wine expansion. It follows La Cage au Fou, where Geralt spares a spotted wight and lifts the curse on her. The wight turns out to be a woman named Marlene. Geralt lets her recover at Corvo Bianco and returns a few days later to see how she is doing.
The Hunger Game Quest Guide
- Spare the wight and lift Marlene's curse in La Cage au Fou.
- Bring Marlene to Corvo Bianco.
- Return to Corvo Bianco a few days later.
- Talk to Marlene and see how she is doing.
- Tell Marlene to start a new life in town, or let her stay at the estate.
- Travel to the Trastamara estate, if Marlene stays.
- Go down to the cellar and use Witcher Senses to find the barrels marked in red.
- Search the barrels for Marlene's dowry.
Choices
The curse held Marlene for centuries. All her loved ones are long dead, and she has nowhere to go. Geralt chooses her future.
If Geralt tells her to start a new life in town, she agrees and leaves a few days later. The quest ends there.
If Geralt lets her stay, Marlene becomes the cook at Corvo Bianco. She also tells him about a dowry her father saved for her long ago. The dowry still lies in the cellars of the Trastamara estate, and Geralt may keep it.
