The Wight is a Necrophage that lives in Toussaint. It belongs to the Blood and Wine expansion, so it turns up in the late game.

Lore

Wights are horrible to look at, yet they are happy to be left alone. A wight left in peace is no danger to anyone. It cares far more about mixing foul brews in cauldrons than about fighting, so it is best never to attack one unprovoked.

A man named Heinrich Von Grott once joked that the dead are said to like quiet. Whatever the truth about the dead, wights certainly do.

Behaviour

Wights live mostly around ancient burial sites. They have also been seen near newer cemeteries and wherever mass graves are found. They live strictly alone, and it is almost unheard of to see more than one in the same place. In the winter months they sink into a sluggish state much like human sleep.

A wight guards its territory closely. A single step into that territory is enough to make it feel threatened. A threatened wight turns into a dangerous foe and even gives up its lonely ways to call other monsters to its aid.

Weaknesses

Coat the silver sword with Necrophage Oil. Wights resist poison, but silver hurts them.

A wight in danger at once spits out an ectoplasm that turns into Barghests almost instantly. These beasts obey the wight and attack anyone it sees as a foe. When one of them falls, the wight tries to replace it right away. Use Axii to take the Barghests out of the fight first, then go after the wight itself.
