Explorer Ships are designed to be beginner friendly class A ships available to buy early game. They have a large grav jump distance and fuel capacity for their size but their crew and cargo space is extremely limited. It’s not recommended to take explorer ships into combat since they’re the most ill-equipped ships in the game due to their limited weapon options, small shields, reactor power and hull. Its best to avoid combat encounters until you have a better ship.
