Fury Road turns a car into a weapon. V takes no damage as a passenger in a collision, the car takes far less, and everything hit takes far more. It is the one Body tree perk that has nothing to do with guns. Anyone who drives into Night City traffic on purpose should own it.

Effect

The effect splits three ways. Enemy vehicles and the people inside them take heavily increased damage, V's own vehicle takes much less, and V personally takes none at all from the impact.

That last part is what changes behaviour. A head on ram is normally a trade that costs health and a car, and with this perk it costs neither. Chases that the game expects to be survived by shooting can be ended by steering instead.

How to Unlock Fury Road

It sits behind the Rookie gate of the Body tree and needs nothing bought before it, which makes it one of the cheapest picks in the whole tree.

Character Builds

It belongs to any build that drives, which in practice means every build, but it does the most for one that opens jobs by arriving at speed. A heavy vehicle with a high health pool is the right car, and Gearhead in the Technical Ability tree raises that pool further.

Buy it whenever a spare point is available at the Rookie gate. Nothing else depends on it and nothing above it reads it, so it is a cheap pick that sits outside the tree's plan rather than part of it.

Notes

It applies to collisions, not to the guns mounted on an armed car, so a vehicle with weapons gains nothing extra from it.

Several jobs and gigs end in a road chase, and the Badlands in particular is open enough to use it.
