Gigs
Gigs are the smaller jobs that fixers hand out across Night City and the Badlands. Each district has its own fixer: Regina Jones in Watson, Wakako Okada in Westbrook, Dino Dinovic in City Center, Padre in Heywood, El Capitan in Santo Domingo, Dakota Smith in the Badlands and Mr. Hands in Pacifica and Dogtown, with Rogue adding a few of her own. A gig usually starts with a call when V drives into the area, and the job can be a theft, a hit, a rescue, a search, an act of sabotage or a delivery. Many can be done quietly or loudly, and some targets are worth more alive than dead. Finishing gigs pays eddies and Street Cred, and finishing every gig of a fixer brings a last reward from them.

How Gigs Work
Every gig has a fixer, who speaks for the client, and a tier, which marks V's standing with that fixer. Once V finishes the gigs of one tier, the fixer offers the next set. A gig usually starts with a call or a text from the fixer, and the target shows up on the map. When the job is done, the fixer calls back and the payment arrives.
The in-game Database explains why mercs work this way. A merc could take jobs alone, but after being cheated once or twice, or paid in lead instead of eddies, most look for a good fixer. A fixer picks the crew, negotiates a decent payout and takes a cut, and pulls the merc out of trouble on the job. Fixers know the word on the street, and they know who pays well and whose gigs stink. Each has a way of doing business, but they all keep the same code: a merc who works for them is never left high and dry. The code goes both ways.
Kinds of Gigs
Gigs come in several kinds. Thievery gigs ask V to steal something. Gun for Hire gigs are about fighting or killing a target. SOS: Merc Needed gigs mean rescuing someone in trouble, and Search and Recover gigs mean finding a person or an item. Agent Saboteur gigs ask V to wreck or hack something, and Special Delivery gigs ask V to carry something across the city.
Watson: Regina Jones
Regina Jones runs the gigs of Watson from the top floor of the Yaiba building in Kabuki. She was once an independent reporter for FTF Radio. When the station was bought out, she turned her contacts, from top corpos to dealers and junkies, into a fixer's network. Before, she bought gossip and sold news. Now she spins both. Her gigs make up the biggest set in the game, from Rite of Passage up to The Heisenberg Principle, and she also sends V after the cyberpsychos of the city.
Westbrook: Wakako Okada
Wakako Okada works from the back room of a pachinko parlour on Jig-Jig Street in Japantown. Rumours surround her many, very dead husbands, and nobody has dared to ask. Meeting her, the Database says, is like stepping into a cage with a polite lioness. Her gigs run from We Have Your Wife and Tyger and Vulture to A Shrine Defiled.
City Center: Dino Dinovic
Dino Dinovic posts his gigs from his own bar, the Electric Orgasm. He is a fixer in Downtown and Corpo Plaza, and the bassist of the Gloryhole Bandits, though nobody has ever heard him play. His short list runs from A Lack of Empathy to The Frolics of Councilwoman Cole.
Heywood: Padre
Sebastian "Padre" Ibarra meets his people at a basketball court in the Glen. He was once a priest among the Valentinos, and he still keeps his own code. He backs no gang, and his aim is to keep the balance of power in Night City. His gigs run from Jeopardy and Life's Work to Going Up or Down?
Santo Domingo: El Capitan
Muamar "El Capitan" Reyes keeps a quiet spot by the beltway in Rancho Coronado, with a view of the dam. A former corpo, he is now the fixer half the working class of Santo Domingo turns to. His gigs run from Race to the Top and Error 404 to For My Son and Going-away Party.
The Badlands: Dakota Smith
Dakota Smith runs her web from an auto repair shop in Rocky Ridge, a true oasis in the middle of nowhere. She never goes anywhere without her oxygen tank, and those who take her jobs make sure they are done right. Her gigs run from Dancing on a Minefield and Flying Drugs to Goodbye, Night City and Radar Love.
Pacifica and Dogtown: Mr. Hands
Mr. Hands was once Wade Bleecker, a Petrochem employee who survived his own company's attempt on his life, then changed his name and face. In Phantom Liberty, his gigs fill Dogtown, among them Dogtown Saints, Waiting for Dodger, Roads to Redemption and Spy in the Jungle. Rogue also hands out a few gigs of her own, such as Family Heirloom and Hot Merchandise.
Notes
Finishing every gig of a fixer unlocks a reward job: Last Call for Regina, Professional Widow for Wakako, Gas Gas Gas for Dino, God Bless This Mess for Padre, Ride Captain Ride for El Capitan, Every Grain of Sand for Dakota and Hi Ho Silver Lining for Mr. Hands.
