Icepick

| Class | Intelligence Perk |
| Attribute | Intelligence |
| Tier | Pro (9) |
| Levels | 1 |
| Requires | Embedded Exploit |
Icepick makes combat quickhacks cheaper against a target that has already been touched. Any enemy affected by or targeted by a control hack, a covert hack or a distraction costs less RAM to attack. It sits in the netrunning branch of the Intelligence tree. It is the discount that makes the branch's rhythm affordable.
Effect
Combat quickhacks are the expensive ones, and a netrunner's damage comes from how many of them a fight can hold.
Taking a unit off the cost against prepared targets means one more hack per bar. The condition is the same one the branch already asks for, so the discount arrives automatically on a build that is playing properly.
How to Unlock Icepick
It sits behind the Pro gate of the Intelligence tree and is bought from Embedded Exploit.
Perk Tree
Icepick is bought from Embedded Exploit in the Intelligence tree.
| Name | Image | Tier | Effect |
|---|---|---|---|
| Embedded Exploit | Pro (9) | +10% RAM recovery rate. |
Buying Icepick opens the perks below.
| Name | Image | Tier | Effect |
|---|---|---|---|
| Siphon | Pro (9) | Monowire attacks recover 0.5 RAM. Increases to 1 if the enemy is affected by or targeted by a quickhack. |
Character Builds
It belongs to a netrunner that softens a target before attacking it, which is the rhythm Embedded Exploit teaches.
Buy it at the Pro gate from Embedded Exploit, then Siphon above it if the build carries a Monowire. The discount applies on the same condition the damage bonus reads, so the follow up hack is both cheaper and stronger than it would otherwise be.
Notes
Siphon is bought from it, and that perk turns Monowire attacks into RAM.
Embedded Exploit raises the damage of the same follow up hack that this perk discounts.
