Queue Hack Root discounts variety in a queue. The first hack of each category after the opening one costs less RAM, so a queue made of covert, combat and control hacks is cheaper than a queue made of three of the same. It sits in the queue branch of the Intelligence tree. It teaches a netrunner to mix.
Effect
The discount applies once per category per queue, which means the saving is largest on a queue built out of different kinds of hack.
That is a deliberate push away from stacking the single best hack. A build that reaches for a control hack, then a covert one, then a combat one, pays less for the same queue and ends up with a target under several different effects.
How to Unlock Queue Hack Root
It sits behind the Phenom gate of the Intelligence tree and is bought from Queue Acceleration.
Perk Tree
Queue Hack Root is bought from Queue Acceleration in the Intelligence tree.
| Name | Image | Tier | Effect |
|---|---|---|---|
| Queue Acceleration | Phenom (15) | +1 Max RAM. |
Character Builds
It suits a netrunner with a varied deck, since the discount applies once per category rather than once per hack.
Buy it at the Phenom gate from Queue Acceleration. System Overwhelm at the Pro gate raises damage for each unique effect on a target, so the two reward the same mixed queue, one by making it cheaper and the other by making it hurt more.
Notes
System Overwhelm raises quickhack damage for each unique effect on a target, which rewards the same variety this perk discounts.
Queue Prioritization speeds up the first hack in a filled queue, so the pair make a long mixed queue fast as well as cheap.
