Submachine Fun turns a weapon swap into a reload and a damage boost. Swapping between submachine guns is faster, fills them automatically, and raises the fire rate of whichever one comes up. It sits at the top of the Reflexes tree and applies to submachine guns alone. Carrying two of them becomes a strategy.

The automatic reload is the heart of it. A build with a submachine gun in each slot never reloads in the ordinary sense, it swaps, and the gun that was empty is full by the time it is needed again.

The fire rate increase rides on the same swap. Reloading normally ends the effect, which is the game making sure the trick is used as intended rather than stacked with a manual reload.

How to Unlock Submachine Fun

It sits behind the Legend gate of the Reflexes tree, so almost all of V's points go into Reflexes. Sharpshooter must be fully bought first.

The build is a submachine gun Reflexes build carrying two of them, which is the only loadout this perk rewards.

Buy it as the Legend gate opens, after Sharpshooter. Spice Of Life at the Pro gate already rewards swapping, so a build that liked that perk has been playing towards this one. The automatic reload means the pair are fired as if they shared a magazine, and a manual reload is what ends the bonus.

Notes

Spice Of Life lower in the branch already speeds up swaps and tightens spread after one, so the two reward the same habit.

Assault rifles are not covered, and Salt In The Wound at the same height is theirs instead.
