Favored Branches, in Dragon's Dogma 2, is an Archistaff crafted to deal magic with its branch-like weapon. The Archistaff can be found hidden within a cave during the early stages of the game, but is soon outclassed by other options.

An archistaff resembling a tree stretching out its branches to reach for the sky. In fact, the tips gather and focus magick power into every attack.

How to get the Favored Branches Guide

To get to the Favored Branches Staff you must go to the Depleted Ore Deposit (Location walkthrough shown at 22:53 in the video guide below). Once you enter the cave head down into the depths until you reach the catacomb, the Staff is hidden in a unique chest. Once looted spirits and skeletons will ambush your party.
This weapon is not dropped by enemies and can not purchased from merchants.

Smithing Upgrade Guide

Each weapon and armor in Dragon's Dogma 2 can be upgraded 3 times. There are five possible smithing upgrade paths to choose from: Vermundian, Elven, Battahli, Dwarven and Wyrmfire each effecting the weapon or armor's stats differently.
