Gautstafr is an old dwarven smith who lives at Windwalker's Home on Agamen Volcanic Island with his wife Cliodhna. The Arisen finds him groaning by the roadside with an aching back, and helping him opens the way to the Magick Archer vocation and to his forge.
Story
Gautstafr is first met on the road west of the Volcanic Island Camp, in pain from his back. After the Arisen brings him wildflowers, he invites the Arisen to Windwalker's Home for a reward and the Arisen meets his wife Cliodhna. Talk turns to the hot spring at Geyser Hamlet, and the Arisen escorts Gautstafr there. At the spring Cliodhna, who has followed at a distance, offers to teach the Arisen as a Magick Archer, and Gautstafr's forge opens to the Arisen. Once Put a Spring in Thy Step is done, Gautstafr can also tell the Arisen what the elven word gwyfencha means in the common tongue. In the Unmoored World, Ernesto asks the Arisen to persuade the couple to leave Windwalker's Home and escort them to the Volcanic Island Camp.
