The Marcher's Helm is a helmet and is a part of the Marcher's armor set in Dragon's Dogma 2. Its one of the best armor sets you can obtain early since its very light weight for the defence it provides.

Standard equipment for guards and sentinels. Unremarkable, but functional.

Merchant: Philbert's Sundries in Vernworth

The full Marcher's Armor Set can be obtained by visiting two locations (see video guide above 0:30).

In the city of Vernworth, within Vernworth Castle Guardhouse. The Marcher's Helm, Legs and body armor can be found in a chest within the guardhouse room, found to the right of the main castle entrance.
Next to Vernworth Castle Gaol Tower, inside the well that leads to the sewers. You can find the Marcher's Helm Legs, body armor and Expeditioner's Cloak.

Smithing Upgrade Guide

Every piece of armour can be enhanced three times at an armoury or smithy, each time for gold and the materials listed below, and a fourth time with Wyrmfire. Any armoury or smithy works on weapons and armour alike. Each smith works in one style, and you can mix styles from one level to the next.

Vermundian raises every attribute moderately. Armouries and smithies in Vermund offer it, such as Roderick's Smithy and Bjorn's Armory in Vernworth.
Elven raises Magick and Magick Defense greatly, Strength and Defense only a little. Grisha's Armory in Sacred Arbor offers it.
Battahli raises Strength and Defense greatly, Magick and Magick Defense only a little. Armouries in Battahl offer it, such as Awaran's Arms and Bodas's Armory in Bakbattahl.
Dwarven raises Knockdown Power and Knockdown Resistance. Sara at Brokkr's Smithy offers it after Steeled Resolve, Blazing Forge, and Gautstafr after Put a Spring in Thy Step.
Wyrmfire halves the weight and gives a further boost once the first three enhancements are done. The Dragonforged at Bay Wayside Shrine takes payment in Wyrmslife Crystals instead of gold.

Taking Marcher's Helm to level 3 costs 512 G in all, whichever style you choose. Battahli smithing gives it the most Defense at level 3 (15), while Dwarven gives the most Knockdown Resistance (8). Wyrmfire then costs 5 Wyrmslife Crystals.
