Threaded Cudgel is a heavy-hitting Mace built for pure physical damage in Dragon's Dogma 2. It carries high Strength and excellent Knockdown Power, making it a strong choice for late-game Fighter and Warfarer builds that want to stagger and topple enemies quickly.
A blunt weapon topped with a head of spiraling metal. Effective only in experienced hands.
Base stats sit at 240 Strength, 100 Strike Strength and 300 Knockdown Power with no magick or elemental damage. The weight is 7.4, so it is not a light weapon, but the knockdown value is high enough that many enemies spend more time on the ground than they do attacking. It has no innate debilitations, so all of its power comes from raw physical force and the ability to interrupt.
How to get Threaded Cudgel and Map Location
Buy price is 38 500 G. It is sold only by Awaran in the mercantile ward of Bakbattahl and does not appear as a monster drop or chest reward. Once you reach Battahl this is one of the stronger maces available for purchase.

Smithing Upgrade Guide
Every weapon can be enhanced three times at an armoury or smithy, each time for gold and the materials listed below, and a fourth time with Wyrmfire. Any armoury or smithy works on weapons and armour alike. Each smith works in one style, and you can mix styles from one level to the next.
- Vermundian raises every attribute moderately. Armouries and smithies in Vermund offer it, such as Roderick's Smithy and Bjorn's Armory in Vernworth.
- Elven raises Magick and Magick Defense greatly, Strength and Defense only a little. Grisha's Armory in Sacred Arbor offers it.
- Battahli raises Strength and Defense greatly, Magick and Magick Defense only a little. Armouries in Battahl offer it, such as Awaran's Arms and Bodas's Armory in Bakbattahl.
- Dwarven raises Knockdown Power and Knockdown Resistance. Sara at Brokkr's Smithy offers it after Steeled Resolve, Blazing Forge, and Gautstafr after Put a Spring in Thy Step.
- Wyrmfire halves the weight and gives a further boost once the first three enhancements are done. The Dragonforged at Bay Wayside Shrine takes payment in Wyrmslife Crystals instead of gold.

The five smithing styles change the weapon in different ways. Battahli pushes Strength the hardest, Dwarven adds a large amount of Knockdown Power, Elven and Vermundian keep more balanced growth, and Wyrmfire halves the weight while adding a further flat Strength boost. Most pure Fighter builds lean toward Battahli or Dwarven depending on whether they value raw damage or the ability to knock enemies down more consistently.
