Grave Warden Duelist is a dungeon boss in Elden Ring.
The Grave Warden Duelist is a muscular former gladiator who guards graves with two battle hammers joined by a chain. The first waits at the end of the Murkwater Catacombs in Limgrave, and a stronger one holds the Auriza Side Tomb. He swings in long, heavy combos and tries to grab foes and slam them to the ground. Both fights reward useful Spirit Ashes.
Lore
The duelist is a broad, heavily muscled warrior in light bronze armor decorated with serpents. He swings twin battle hammers tied together by an iron chain.
In the time of Lord Godfrey, these champions fought in the colosseums to honor the Erdtree. The serpents on their armor stood for a traitor to the tree, and the crowds cheered to see them battered and broken.
When the colosseums closed in the age of Lord Radagon, the gladiators were banished. Many became grave wardens of the catacombs, while others turned into the rampaging Mad Pumpkin Heads.

| Immune | Madness |
Attacks
- Hammer Swings: long chains of swings from either hammer; roll away and stay ready for the rest of the combo.
- Hammer Slam and Double Slam: one or both hammers crash into the ground; roll around to his left and strike or backstab.
- Hammer Scrape: a hammer scrapes along the ground on his right; stay on his left after a slam.
- Chain Swing: a hammer swings out on its chain in a wide arc; back off or roll in so the second swing misses.
- Jump Smash: he leaps and slams both hammers down; roll diagonally forward to get behind him.
- Drumbeat Finisher: four alternating slams with both hammers raised high; roll away and punish when he finishes.
- Grab: he crouches, raises his right hand and lunges for a head grab; roll aside or walk behind him.
- Braggart's Roar: a roar that raises his attack and defense; attack him while he roars.
Tactics
- Summon a Spirit Ash first, then attack his back while he fights the summon.
- Use a greatshield to rebound his blows and guard counter, but keep stamina to dodge.
- Roll diagonally forward into his slams to end up behind him.
- Look for backstabs after the Jump Smash and the Hammer Slam.
- Casters can kite him around the room and fire during his long recoveries.
- Stay clear of the walls and columns, where it is easy to get stuck.
