The Dune Armadillo is a neutral animal in Enshrouded, found in the Nomad Highlands and the Kindlewastes. You can tame it and keep it in your base.

Where to Find the Dune Armadillo - Map Location

Dune Armadillos live in the Kindlewastes, and a few wander into the Nomad Highlands. They roam near cave passages, abandoned villages and oases. Herds gather around the ruins north-east of the Sunsimmer Souterrain and near the oasis south-east of the Kindlewastes Ancient Spire. Armadillos are neutral, so they leave the player alone unless attacked. Their armour shrugs off much of the physical and magical damage they take. Shroud damage hurts them most. A tamed armadillo at the base gives a steady supply of Scales.

Taming and Breeding

Dune Armadillos can be tamed with Dune Armadillo Food Bait. They require three successful pet interactions to be tamed. After being brought to your base they require shelter, a Big Farm Animal Pillow and a Dune Armadillo Feeder with Dune Armadillo Food. You can craft these at the Farmer.

If provided with a spare bed, a pair of Dune Armadillos have a chance to produce offspring (Baby Dune Armadillos).

Dune Armadillos produce Scales when sheltered and fed. They can hold up to five and won’t produce more beyond this limit until it's collected. They will also produce when unfed, but at a much slower rate. Production will happen regardless of player distance.

Baby Dune Armadillo

Baby Dune Armadillo

This baby Dune Armadillo is already starting to form its horn, later used for digging tunnels - never when you're looking, though. It's strange how that works. Breeding a pair of Dune Armadillos gives a Baby Dune Armadillo.
