The Nomad Highlands hold the centre of Embervale: dry grassland on limestone bluffs high above the Shroud, cut by canyons. Two features dominate them, the Pillars of Creation, two vast volcanoes tied to the Ancients, and Umber Hollow, a low basin of dense Shroud in the middle of the plateau. Enemies run from level 15 to 20, and Tin Ore brings the bronze tier.
How to Get to Nomad Highlands
Head east from the Low Meadows or Revelwood once the Flame is at level 4. The boss Fell Monstrosity at the Cradle of Dusk drops the Fell Monstrosity Head for Flame level 5, which opens the Kindlewastes. From here on, Night Sanctums cost a Spark to open.

Ancient Spire
The spire stands in the east, near Rattlebleak. It marks two obelisks: Our Eye Towards The Stars, Forever Shut in the west and A Breath Of Life, Fading near the spire.
Flame Shrines give 3 Sparks each: north and east of Mining Rift, north-east and east of the Pillars of Creation, west and south-west of Jasper Isles, south of the Vukah Arena, north-east of Raven's Keep, north of the Dragon Cave, south-west of Smothering Pit, north and south of Lupa's Lair, and north of the spire.
Locations
Lupa's Lair, a Scavenger stronghold, is reached over the Ruined Bridge, and the Cradle of Dusk is the Fell Monstrosity's lair. The Pillars of Creation research site appears in the quest Finding Masonry Tools.

Shroud
Three Elixir Wells: west of Rattlebleak, in Umber Hollow under a Fell Monstrosity boss, and south of the Pillars of Creation under a Fell Thunderbrute boss. Shroud Roots grow at Jasper Isles and Smothering Pit, north-west of Mining Rift, north-east of the Cradle of Dusk, west of Bounty Barn and east of the Southern Caravan Camp.
Its Night Sanctums need a Spark and hold pieces of the Scholar Of The Empyrean set; one sits in the Vukah cave passage beneath the Pillars of Creation, and the one south of Lupa's Lair has the high-tier Gem Forge. More Gem Forges lie in the Shroud north-west of Jasper Isles and south of Raven's Keep, beside the two Shroud Lairs.
Resources
Tin Ore, Limestone and Fossilized Bone are the new materials. Tin comes from Mining Rift and Smothering Pit, and several Vukah cave passages have tin and copper veins. Farms grow sugar cane, bell pepper, sage and wheat, and the fields at Lover's Hideaway grow Calla Luna.

Lore
The Pillars of Creation drew the obelisk researchers, whose camps and notes are scattered around them. Sorcerer Ikora bred the Fell Monstrosities from Shroud Spores in the Black Cauldron before becoming one. Journals to find: Echoes Of Ikko, Conway Brothers, Rumors Of The Dragon Cave, Trade Outpost Rules, The Honeydews, Lupa's Hounds and Lake Of The Nomad Highlands.
